It must be nice to know that your label has your back when times get tough, but some things are just better heard from the horse's mouth. After finally getting fed up with the series of scandalous rumors questioning Asher Roth's sexuality, SRC Records Vice President, DJ Vlad posted a blog entry this weekend trying to put a stop to the madness. Vlad not only disputed the rumors that Asher had been dropped from SRC, but he also insisted that Asher was not gay. Still, the masses were not satisfied until Asher finally issued a statement condemning the rumors and scolding everyone for being childish at the dawning of a new, progressive year.

"I hate to disappoint and take away the entertainment of it all but I am straight, not gay. It's disheartening to know such 'news' on someone's personal life can be portrayed as fact with no viable source," Asher said. "This, to me, is an opportunity to expose our vulnerability to lies and manipulation through unprofessional and irresponsible news outlets, in which people consider truth. Further, someone's sexual orientation should never be big news, as it delivers a troubling message to children that they can't be themselves without fear of judgment. Race, creed, and sexual persuasion should not just be tolerated but understood and accepted. It's extremely disappointing that this topic would be used with the intention of being hurtful. We are near 2010 ... 2010!! Yet race, sex and religion still play a major role in a hate-driven society. For the love of the future and humanity ... let's wake up."

Actress and singer Jennifer Hudson is slamming reports that she is pregnant with her second child, despite a story that Star Magazine published this week. The publication cited a "close friend" of Hudson's as the source of the fabrication but the actress' rep Lisa Kasteler quickly set the record straight. "Contrary to what has been falsely reported, Jennifer Hudson is not pregnant," Kasteler told People. "Jennifer leaves in April for South Africa where she will portray Winnie Mandela in the feature film, 'Winnie."

"It is a commitment she is excited about and takes very seriously," Kasteler continued. "Jennifer is currently in the studio recording her second album and this is the only delivery she is looking forward to in 2010."

Hudson gave birth to her first child, David Daniel Otunga Jr. this past August. During her pregnancy the Chicago-native never confirmed nor denied that she was with child fueling speculation that she may have been going the same route this time around. The 28-year-old is engaged to former reality television star David Otunga Sr., and has not yet revealed a date for the future wedding ceremony.

R&B singer Joe has denied the reports that he was roughed up by Trey Songz' entourage during Songz' 25th birthday celebration at a lounge in New Jersey.

Though Bossip.com claimed to have eyewitness reports that Joe and "new jumpoff" Tahiry got into a brawl after being refused entry to the VIP room at the 501 Lounge, in Montclair, N.J., Joe vehemently denies that any such altercation occurred.

"First of all, I was not involved in a fight. Me and Trey Songz are real cool. We did a record on my last album. We did 'We Need to Roll' and, you know, I went to show support," Joe explained. "That's my man. I heard he was going to be having a party that night and there was going to be a performance. Nothing happened between him and I."

However, Joe conceded that one of his friends may have gotten into a confrontation with security. "It could have been where my man had a problem with security just for a quick second and they were trying to clear the VIP," Joe admitted. "It was really, really crowded up there. It wasn't anything like they didn't want me there [or] they didn't want the other guests there, like Tahiry. Everybody was cool."

According to the reports, extremely virile rapper Lil Wayne has yet another baby on the way, this one with Young Money artist Shanell. This is hardly surprising since Wayne, who has fathered four children with four different women (two in the last six months) loves his babies(!), but now the Young Money boss and protege are vehemently denying the rumors.

"Basically it came from a corny rumor that escalated," Shanell told MTV. "First I was dating him, then I was his girlfriend, then we were getting married, then we were settling down and now I'm pregnant. It's so foolish we've haven't paid it any attention."

The singer/songwriter -- sister of former Danity Kane member D. Woods -- met Wayne while working as a back-up dancer for Ne-Yo. She's been credited for connecting Wayne with producer Bangladesh and aiding in the birth of 'A Milli,' and was quickly brought into the fold, singing and touring with Young Money.

Following media rumors claiming that she suffers from venereal disease herpes, singer Rihanna is setting the record straight. In a revealing interview with GQ Magazine, in which she appears topless on the cover, the 21-year-old proved that no topic is off limits. "It's a f---ing scar on my lip. That's there every day of my life," she said of the blemish that started the STD rumor.

Rihanna revealed that she was aware of the rumor but was sure that people would write it off as such. "At first I was like, 'Are you serious?' First, I thought people were gonna definitely know that that's not ... But when I read it, and I see that people just buy into that ... Like, the minute they see it, it forms something in their head."

Earlier this month former reality television star Tila Tequila fueled the "Herpes fire" ranting on her Twitter page that the pop star did in fact have the virus. "A very close source of mine, who works in the same legal camp as Rihanna, has told me that the reason why Rihanna wasn't speaking out about the Chris Brown incident is because there was a Catch-22 in it. Rihanna has herpes, and ... well ... I don't wanna' put anyone else on blast, but Rihanna has herpes and gave someone else herpes that she had slept with." Tila's statements were in response to an interview that Rihanna did with a Los Angeles radio disc jockey where she called Tila out. Popular gossip Web site Bossip is making another gay accusation in the hip-hop community. The site is fueling rumors that singer Trey Songz, the Grammy-nominated singer who recently scored a hit with his suggestively titled songs 'Say Ahh' and 'Invented Sex,' is allegedly openly bi-sexual. Last year Bossip contended that R&B newcomer Drake was also gay when this off-the-wall photo surfaced.

According to a "trusted source," Trey has been dating men since 2004, and was in a serious relationship with an "industry professional" named Brandon Hines, who can be seen with Trey here. The two men worked together in 2004, are said to have been in a relationship for six or seven months.

The Web site continues to claim that their "source says that Trey is versatile and can be both a giver and receiver depending on his partner," and that, while he continues to sleep with men, he also sleeps with women.

We can neither confirm nor disprove the rumor, however Bossip contends that their source "is very reliable and had full evidence to back up their claims." In either event, Trey Songz' third album ' Ready' was released last year, and it's pretty catchy.

A big part of being a hip-hop star in 2010 is having to shoot down constant rumors from all sorts of haters. Wale is no acception. A gossip item surfaced recently claiming Interscope Records decided to drop Wale after the rapper's 2009 debut 'Attention: Deficit' didn't do as well as they would have hoped.

The story seems to have originally appeared online in All Hip-Hop's daily rumor dispatch. While the site simply published a one-line item questioning the rapper's status, it quickly spread around on Twitter -- where Wale boasts a high level of popularity. "N----- be pressed to make shyt up huh," Wale responded to a user under the moniker Komani_Kastro. "What's wack is that ur friend is blind ... that's some BS."
