50 Cent’s Assistant Accused of Arson for ‘Suspicious’ 2008 Fire

Last Wednesday (Feb. 24) 50 Cent was hit with a lawsuit for releasing a sex tape involving Rick Ross' ex-wife. A day later his assistant Dwayne McKenzie was confronted with allegations of arson, stemming from the 2008 fire that destroyed 50's Long Island estate.
McKenzie's ex-girlfriend, Shana Chin, testified in court on Thursday (Feb. 25) that he often bragged about setting the fire that burned down the Dix Hills mansion belonging to 50 Cent's ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins. The $1.4 million Long Island estate was destroyed by a suspicious fire, in the midst of 50's heated efforts to evict Tompkins from the house. The fire sent six people, including Tompkins and 50's son Marquise, to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Dix Hills police officials reported that the fire was "definitely suspicious" because of the rapid movement of the fire, but no one was officially charged after the incident.

50 Cent Sued for Releasing Sex Tape of Rick Ross’ Ex

50 Cent's unethical behavior during his long-running feud with Rick Ross has finally caught up to him. The Queens rapper --real name Curtis Jackson -- is being sued by Ross' ex Lastonia Leviston, for posting a home made sex tape featuring the Florida woman, on the Internet last year. Leviston filed the suit in a Manhattan Supreme Court on Wednesday (Feb. 24), explaining that she and a partner, Maurice Murray, filmed the explicit video in 2008. According to Leviston, Murray was given specific instructions to destroy the tape, but instead it was "transferred or sold" to 50 Cent.
According to the Daily News, 50 edited himself into the video -- sporting a curly wig and robe -- so he could "humorously" narrate the footage, before posting it on his website Thisis50.com. In her complaint, Leviston explained that her while partner's face was blurred out in the video, hers was not. The footage quickly ended up on YouTube and other sharing sites, garnering millions of views. Leviston also alleges that 50 later appeared on a radio show where he spoke about the video and referred to her as a "call girl." Leviston is seeking damages for the emotional distress caused by the unauthorized used of her name and image.
The notorious feud between 50 Cent and Rick Ross has included a series of diss songs and even a recent, animated video in which 50 mockingly appeared with Tia Kemp, the mother of Ross' son.

Lastonia Leviston, Rick Ross’ Baby Mama, Suing 50 Cent Over Leaked Sex Tape
A Florida woman who has a child with rapper Rick Ross sued 50 Cent in New York City Wednesday, claiming the Grammy-nominated rapper unlawfully distributed her homemade sex video over the internet after editing himself into it as the wig-wearing narrator.
Lastonia Leviston filed a lawsuit in Manhattan claiming unauthorized use of her name or image and emotional distress caused by the public release of a video she made with a lover in 2008. In the video, which was leaked online last year and has garnered millions of views, features 50 in character as “Pimpin’ Curly.” He can be seen introducing the video while wearing a curly wig and fluffy blue robe and can be heard narrating throughout.
Leviston claims she asked ex-boyfriend Maurice Murray to destroy the tape and that he agreed, but he allegedly turned around and “transferred or sold” it 50, who used the footage as ammunition in his feud with Ross.
She is seeking an unspecified amount in damages.

50 Cent To Lose 65 Pounds For “Things Fall Apart” Movie
50 Cent fans are in for a dramatic change to the rapper’s muscular physique — 50 is losing 65 pounds for his upcoming movie Things Fall Apart. The “In Da Club” hitmaker co-wrote the screenplay, about a college football player suffering from cancer. Things Fall Apart is scheduled to begin shooting in Michigan in May. 50 made his acting debut in the semi-autobiographical 2005 film Get Rich or Die Tryin.’

50 Cent to Lose 65 Lbs. for Film Role

Rapper/actor 50 Cent has announced that he will be dropping 65lbs. for an upcoming film role. The project, titled 'Things Fall Apart,' is being produced by 50's film company Cheetah Vision Films.
50 is set to play the lead character in the film, a high school football star who is stricken with cancer during his senior year. In order to convincingly depict the sick teen, 50 will be working to shed a large amount of weight from his atlas-like build, which is no small feat.
"Fifty is in the process of losing 65 pounds for the role," Randall Emmett, co-producer of 'Things Fall Apart,' confirmed in a recent interview.

In the past year we watched Snoop Dogg ham it up with Martha Stewart, saw 50 Cent make nice with Rachel Ray, and now Three 6 Mafia are trying to make their mark in the culinary world. Juicy J and DJ Paul made an appearance at Wolfgang Puck's Beverley Hills restaurant, Spago, this week to flex their muscles in the kitchen.
The two rappers explored the facilities while they snapped some shots for an upcoming spread in Food Magazine. Though the appearance seemed a little out of character for the Memphis rappers, the stunt was all a part of their promotional scheme to launch a new cooking show in 2010. The duo initially explained plans to launch the show, titled 'Cookin' Ain't Easy,' back in 2009. The show would feature the two friends hosting a weekly dinner party for close friends, celebrity guests and fans.

50 Cent, G-Unit to Help Former Manhattan Madam Run for Governor

Kristin Davis, better known as the "Manhattan Madam," famous for procuring prostitutes for former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, has announced her intention to run for Spitzer's old seat in the next election, and she's getting some hip-hop help.
At a Libertarian convention over the weekend, Davis announced her plan, explaining that she had the necessary business and finance experience required for the job of New York Governor. She also claimed to have some pretty serious support from rapper 50 Cent, who allegedly offered "some of his G-Unit rap crew to work the phones" according to reports.

50 Cent Film Sells at Sundance

The independently produced Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson film 'Twelve' recently sold at Sundance Film Festival for $2 million.
The film, which stars 50 alongside Gossip Girl hearthrob Chace Crawford, was written and directed by 'Lost Boys' director Joel Schumacher. In the film, 50 plays a drug dealer who peddles to Crawford's character, hoping to build his business amongst his wealthy friends.
"I made a fool of myself the first day of shooting," 50 told the New York Daily News. "I got to my trailer and I saw this huge crowd of girls screaming. I stopped and was kind of having a moment. Then I turned around, and Chace was behind me, and that's who they were freaking out for."
The Queens rapper and G-Unit boss has appeared in several notable films, including 'Get Rich or Die Trying' and 'Righteous Kill' with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. He will be appearing in several forthcoming films, including 'Jekyll and Hyde' with Forest Whitaker, and 'Gun,' which 50 penned and also stars Val Kilmer.
